Make plans to join us online for the UGA Symphony Orchestra’s first concert of 2021, on February 4 at 7:00.

The concert opens with "Vivid" by Shir-Ran Yinan. It's a vigorous work with lots of interesting colors and rhythms. It was composed for the German String Philharmonic and had its premier in 1986. Yinan was raised in Mannheim Germany and the studied in Israel. She presently lives in Leipzig where she continues as a performer and composer.

They will conclude the concert with "Serenade for Strings" by the Swedish composer Dag Wiren. Composed in 1937 it is one of his most performed compositions. It is a charming work with interesting textures and engaging melodies.

Our audience for this concert will be online only. See us Thursday Feb 4 at 7:00!
