A visit from Santa

This year, the School of Music held its first-ever canathon, with donations going to help the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.  We're awfully proud that our students, faculty, and staff dug deep and far surpassed our goal of 750 cans.  The total donation? 853 cans (and counting, thanks to some generous cash donations!)

Apparently our performance in the can drive was so good that Santa himself was moved to make a brief visit to the School of Music today, stopping in to conduct trumpet players in a round of Christmas carols and giving a hearty thanks to canathon organizers Marlys Jones and LaFarrah Smith.
