Symphony Orchestra Kicks Off 2nd Thursdays with Beethoven, Mahler

The University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra begins the 2010-2011 2nd Thursday Scholarship Series on Thursday Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall at the UGA Performing Arts Center.


UGA to host Southern Graduate Music Research Symposium

The University of Georgia Musicology/Ethnomusicology Student Association will host the first annual Southern Graduate Music Research Symposium August 27-28, 2010 at the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music. The two-day symposium will begin with a panel on Friday, Aug.


All Student Convocation

The Hodgson School of Music will host an All Student Convocation on Monday, August 16, from 4:30 to 5:30 in Ramsey Hall at the Performing Arts Center.


Private Lessons for Non-majors

Wind Ensemble in Argentina

The University of Georgia Wind Ensemble under the direction of John Lynch, UGA Director of Bands, toured Argentina recently from May 10 to May 17 as an invited performing ensemble for the nation's 200th bicentennial celebration.  The travelling party of 60 included students
