Shaun Baer

Director of Public Relations

Shaun brings over twenty years of public relations and graphic design experience to his role as Director of Public Relations for the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. He served as Marketing Coordinator for the Sabes Jewish Community Center in Minneapolis, MN where he received an Award for Excellence in Communications from the JCC Association of North America.

However, he is also an actor. Coming in 2023, you can hear Shaun on Nickelodeon's "Bossy Bear" as Bossy's Dad, the store manager of an electronics shop who has a PhD in Dad jokes. You can find Shaun helping Dawson and Upton find the informant in "Chicago PD," finding love in the trilogy "Scotty and Josh: A Couple in the Making," or exploring the gay single scene in Chicago in the queer digital series "Dudes." He also has an extensive musical theatre, opera and operetta resume.

Shaun wrote/produced and starred in the digital series "Humane Resources," which completed an award-winning festival tour, including the LA Indie Film Fest as well as the award for “Best Cast” from Web Series Festival Global. Once the pandemic hit, he wrote and starred in the Jewish/LGBTQ, modern folklore short film "Heart of Stone," directed by UGA HHSOM Academic Professional in Opera and Theatre Daniel Ellis,which is nearly finished with post-production and ready to hit the festival circuit.
