Theory Pedagogy for Music Educators

Prepares students to teach topics that are typically described as “music theory” to pre-college students. Such topics include several different areas of musicianship — most notably fundamentals, harmony and voice leading, sight singing, dictation, and analysis.

Prerequisites:
MUSI 6150 or MUSI 6150E or MUSI 4050 or permission of department
