The Roger and Phyllis Dancz Center for New Music, with support from the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts, will host a two-week festival of new music at the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music from April 4 through April 16.

The Classic City New Music Festival will feature chamber and electroacoustic recitals, guest performances, workshops, and discussions. Every event on the schedule is free admission and open to the public.

Featured guests include Boston-based bass clarinet and marimba duo Transient Canvas and acclaimed electroacoustic pianist Keith Kirchoff performing on April 7 and 8, respectively.

Sunday, April 10, will feature a performance of student composers’ works by Rote Hund Musik, UGA’s own contemporary chamber ensemble.

The festival closes on Saturday, April 16, when composers and performers from across the Southeast will coalesce for an EMPiRES album release concert.

For more information on the festival, visit noise.uga.edu.
