Hugh Hodgson School of Music guest artists Jacob Adams, viola, and Angela Draghicescu, piano, will perform a special recital in Ramsey Concert Hall on Tuesday, October 25, at 6 p.m.

The duo will perform works by George Enescu, George Gershwin, Leoš Janáček and Otakar Zich during this admission-free performance.

Praised for “the maturity of his mind and technique” by the Santa Barbara News-Press, Adams is Assistant Professor of Viola at the University of Alabama. Since making his solo debut with the Cincinnati Symphony at age 17, Jacob’s performing career has taken him to major venues across the U.S. and around the world.

A native of Romania, Draghicescu has toured the world as a duo and chamber music pianist in venues that include Carnegie Hall, Benaroya Hall, George Enescu Philharmonic, Czech Philharmonic, Hindemith Institute and other venues in Switzerland, Romania, Hungary, France and Norway.

The Hugh Hodgson School of Music sponsors more than 350 performances each year. To view the performance calendar, subscribe to the weekly email concert listing or learn more about the School of Music, go to music.uga.edu.
