The Georgia Woodwind Quintet, the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music’s faculty woodwind ensemble, is performing in Ramsey Concert Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 8 p.m.

The performance features 20th century works from Eric Ewazen, Francis Poulenc and Maurice Ravel.

The quintet is composed of D. Ray McClellan, professor of clarinet, Reid Messich, assistant professor of oboe, Jean Martin-Williams, professor of horn, Amy Pollard, associate professor of bassoon, and Angela Jones-Reus, professor of flute. Damon Denton, resident accompanist at the School of Music, will join the quintet for the Poulenc performance.

Formed in 1967, the quintet has maintained an active schedule performing woodwind chamber music from the early quintets of Danzi and Reicha to twentieth-century compositions.

Admission to this concert is free.
