Lineage Percussion, a student chamber group coached by Hodgson School faculty Timothy Adams, Jr. and Kimberly Toscano Adams, has been selected to advance to the quarterfinals of the renowned Fischoff Chamber Music Competition.

The group, comprised of HHSOM juniors Trevor Barroero, Lauren Floyd, and Welsey Sumpter, was selected for quarterfinals after a highly competitive video-submission screening process.  They will compete in the quarterfinals on May 8, 2015 at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.

The Fischoff Competition, founded in 1973, is the largest chamber music competition in the world, with an average of 125 ensembles applying each year, representing 22 nationalities.  Since its founding, more than 6,600 musicians have participated.

Semi-final and final rounds of the competition will be held on May 9 and 10, respectively. Check back to music.uga.edu for updates on the group's progress!
