On Monday, December 1, the University of Georgia British Brass Band will present a special holiday concert in Hodgson Hall. The 8:00 pm performance, which features students and brass ensembles from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, is led by professor and former New York Philharmonic principal trumpet Phil Smith.

In addition to an exciting selection of inspired arrangements of Christmas favorites, the concert will also include Intrada on Regent Square by Kenneth Downie, the overture to Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Flourish and Dances by Kevin Norbury, Kenneth Downie's Shepherds’ Surprise, and "Troika" from Prokofiev's Lt. Kiji Suite.

The event is free and open to the public.
