"Be well and eat better..." (And listen to great music!)

The Utah Symphony's Paula Fowler says of Puccini and La Bohème:

[Puccini] earned a name for himself, and some fortune, with his first successful opera, 1893’s Manon Lescaut. During the next three years while he composed La Bohème, he practiced a less fund-strapped style of Bohemianism. He established his own “Club la Bohème” of friends and colleagues who met in a hut and created rules such as “silence is forbidden,” “be well and eat better,” and “wisdom is not permitted, except in special cases.”

Come see the fruits of Puccini's labor this evening at Hodgson Hall, as the UGA Opera Ensemble presents La Bohème. A few tickets are still left for this must-see performance.  Tickets are $18, or $5 for UGA students.
